GIVING
As a community of faith, Trinity Church believes that the Church does not exist for its own benefit.  On the contrary, it exists to be a demonstration of what life in God’s Kingdom (God’s hopes and dreams available here and now) looks like.  For this reason, we devote our time and energy to causes that help to expose the kingdom in all its beauty.  Additionally, we devote our money to those causes

We believe there is evidence in the New Testament and in the patristic documents (from the first few centuries of the Christian church) that the Church did not keep the incoming tithe dollars to be used however it pleased.  Rather, the Church leaders saw tithes as belonging to the poor and they redistributed them according to where there was need.

Believing that the early church has bequeathed us an important legacy in every way—including the stewardship practices of Christians and the Church—Trinity has concluded that we will aim to redistribute 50% of incoming tithes and offerings to the social justice and extension-of-mercy causes God has called us to.
